China breaks foreign monopoly and masters the complete industrial production technology of ethylened
he Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences disclosed that the one-carbon chemistry and fine chemical catalytic research group and the new process engineering research group of the institute have provided a 30,000-ton-per-year hydrogenated amine synthesis process for ethylamine from ethanolamine, which is a catalytic technology and process package construction. This indicates that China has mastered the internationally advanced and clean complete industrial production technology for ethylamine.
This equipment was successfully started up with a single feed operation at Shandong Lianhe Chemical Co., Ltd., and it produced qualified products such as ethylenediamine and other auxiliary products.
It is known that the main product of ethylenediamine, ethylenediamine, is mainly used in the production of pesticides, medicines and various chemical auxiliaries. The world's annual consumption of ethylenediamine is approximately 450,000 tons. The consumption of ethylenediamine in China is increasing rapidly at a rate of 5-10% per year.
The hydrogenation ammoniaation technology of ethanolamine is a clean and green production method for ethylenediamine. Chinese enterprises have always had a strong demand for this technology, but the core technology has long been controlled and monopolized by a few foreign companies, and they refused to transfer it to other companies. Therefore, before 2011, the ethylenediamine consumed in China mainly relied on imports from abroad.
In 2011, an industrial-scale facility with a capacity of 10,000 tons per year, constructed based on the patented hydrogenation ammoniaation technology of ethanolamine developed by Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, was successfully put into operation and has been running stably continuously. The 10,000 tons per year industrial facility for hydrogenation ammoniaation of ethanolamine to produce ethylamine has had over three years of production practice, and has brought considerable economic benefits to Shandong Alliance Chemical Co., Ltd
